Octavia RS Set to Roar Into India in 2025!
In a surprising turn of events, Skoda India has decided to put the brakes on the launch of its standard Octavia, Superb, Superb Diesel, and Kodiaq RS models. But car enthusiasts, don’t lose heart — there’s still some exciting news burning rubber on the horizon!
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Skoda India, has officially confirmed that the Octavia RS is very much on track to launch in India this year. Speaking about the performance beast, Gupta said, “The Octavia RS is something that we will definitely bring to India this year.” And that’s music to the ears of every petrolhead in the country!
The all-new Skoda Octavia RS made its Indian debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, turning heads with its aggressive design and performance promise. It’s coming in via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route, so expect a price tag north of ₹50 lakh.
What sets the RS apart? Think blacked-out grille, sporty bumpers, dual exhausts, a lip spoiler, and 18-inch alloys (with optional 19s for that extra flair). Inside, it’s premium meets performance — bucket seats, Alcantara with carbon fibre trim, a chunky flat-bottom steering wheel, and a massive central touchscreen.
Under the hood, the RS houses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering a thrilling 261 BHP and 370 Nm, mated to a slick 7-speed DSG gearbox.
